Plot Summary[]
Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby leave their homeland of Rillonia to find the ancient treasure of Grundo. Along the way, they meet a kindly old inventor named Newton Gimmick. He shows them his newest creation, a flying boat known as The Airship.
After they take off to the sky, they run smack into a tree, a tree that happens to be the home of Leota the Woodsprite . She helps them repair the Airship and they travel away, looking forward to the journey that they'll go on.

- The Airship has always been the story that the Teddy Ruxpin talking toy comes with.
- The Airship was dedicated to Wendy Forsse, the late wife of series creator Ken Forsse.
- All of the illustrations were redone for the 1998 Yes! Entertainment release to account for Teddy's change in outfit.
- In 2005, an extended cut of The Airship was included with the Backpack Toys' Teddy. The audio was sourced from the Live Action Special and the original tape.
